Forewarned is forearmed

I'll be spending the next few days redesigning this site and putting a new publishing system under the hood. My hope is that the process will be completely invisible on your end until the relaunch next Monday, but given the whole man-plans-God-laughs nature of these sorts of projects, I thought I'd better give everybody a heads up. So if things occasionally look a little, well, strange around here between now and then, please know that it's just another case of vast planning meeting half-vast execution, and that things should be back to normal shortly. Thanks, as always, for your patience.

UPDATE: Did I say completely invisible on your end? Well, that's not really true; certain functions, most notably trackbacks and the site search, will have to be disabled during the re-engineering process. Sorry for any inconvenience, and I'll try to have everything working again as soon as possible.
