If you live in Iowa, you have a great honor and a real responsibility today: You get to decide whether the Democratic effort to unseat George Bush begins as an optimistic, hopeful campaign based on the ideas and values that bring us together as Americans, or as an angry and ultimately futile attempt to convince a majority of the American people that our opponent is a really, really bad guy.
Please, cast your vote for hope. Cast it for a responsible approach to national security, and for economic policies designed to strengthen and expand the middle class. Cast it for the kind of campaign that Franklin Roosevelt and Jack Kennedy and Bill Clinton taught us how to run.
Vote for John Edwards.
Posted by Jack O'Toole on January 19, 2004 08:17 AMThis is a pretty negative for someone who is trying to show that he is the exact opposite of negativity now, isn't it? Oh, the post below this should be included in this observation as well.
Personally, I don't think either Dean or Edwards (or Clark, Kerry, Gep, etc) are angry. I think BushCo. is angry (at blacks, gays, the middle class, the Clintons, workers, etc.)
