I don't mean to pick nits, but this graf from Reuters is just goofy:
Gary Schroen and his six-member CIA team arrived in Afghanistan's Panjshir Valley two weeks after bin Laden's al Qaeda network orchestrated the attacks on Washington and New York that killed 3,000 people, prompting the Bush administration's war on terrorism.
Don't they mean America's war on terrorism? I mean, yeah, we're pretty divided these days. But not that divided. . . .

I think it's better as written. First because it is, in an accurate sense, this administration's war because they have aggresively decided how it is played out. All that's left for most of everybody else is either to support the war as the Bush Administration has waged it, or not support it. The percentage of this country that does support this war is not high. Therefore, saying it is "America's War" wrongfully includes rougly half of the population who are rather opposed to the war as it has been waged. But calling it the administration's war rightfully includes only those americans who support the administration.
