My first thought when I saw this La Shawn Barber post (via Glenn Reynolds) on the threat that hate crime laws pose to the very foundations of the Republic was something like, Hey, wouldn't that argument apply to anti-terrorism laws as well. So I did a quick Google search to see if there might be a post in that idea, and quickly made two happy discoveries: (1) there is, indeed, a powerful argument to be made along those lines, and (2) a better, smarter blogger than I had already made it.
