As some of you will remember, I'm a great fan of the late John D. MacDonald, author of the colorful Travis McGee series.
Lance Mannion seems to share my enthusiasm -- and has a thing or two to say about mystery writer turned uber-blogger Roger L. Simon, as well.
UPDATE: Oops. I just noticed that the always-insightful Mr. Mannion wasn't in the Blogroll.
Needless to say, that inexcusable oversight has now been rectified.

Let me be the first to welcome you back. Summer of 1985, my then girlfriend was workingout of town during the summer. I bought and read every one of the Travis McGee books during a two week period.
As for Simon, well I walk by the WTC site every day to and from work. If it ever made find common cause with the likes of Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, I'll jump into the pit.
