If you live in Iowa, you have a great honor and a real responsibility today: You get to decide whether the Democratic effort to unseat George Bush begins as an optimistic, hopeful campaign based on the ideas and values that bring us together as Americans, or as an angry and ultimately futile attempt to convince a majority of the American people that our opponent is a really, really bad guy.
